Printing and respect for the mushaf
A printed page of the Quran should be kept clean and handled with respect. When a printed copy is worn out, scholars advise disposing of it respectfully, for example by burying it in clean ground or placing it in flowing water, as is common in Pakistan through the “Quran boxes” found at many mosques.
